The Art of the Pop-Up Book
Pop-Up Books, The Art of the Paper Engineer features an outstanding example of pop-up or movable books from a private collection, ranging in topic from architecture to zoos, in almost every style and targeted at all age groups. 9am-5pm daily at the Turner Centre, from June 13 to July 7.

Puff and Pull Carnival, May 20 at Kawakawa. The day consists of three major components sponsored “trek the track” for local schools, team competitions: school and adult teams pulling the vintage steam engine Gabriel the length of the main street, to compete for the “getting up steam” trophy for schools and the “Gabriel trophy” for adult teams.
